The taxpayer had accrued tax balances while working as a self-employed laborer. He had not been making his estimated tax payments and was at risk of enforcement action from the IRS for wage garnishments or bank levies. Dickmann Tax Group swiftly secured a hold on enforcement to prevent aggressive collections, and negotiate a tax debt settlement, allowing him to proceed without worrying about repaying a large debt.
However, the taxpayer continued to fail to make the estimated payments, accrued a new tax balance, and defaulted the settlement secured. Dickmann Tax Group continued to work with the client to establish compliance and demonstrate an ongoing financial hardship. The associate team maintained a hold on enforcement, and continued to prevent the taxpayer from receiving levies against his income or accounts. In time, the taxpayer was able to file a return without a significant balance due and Dickmann Tax Group was able to negotiate a second settlement for the taxpayer! The taxpayer owed a total of over $30,000 to the IRS and Dickmann Tax Group settled to total debt for $182 total due to his financial hardship!
